The Galway Girl

So, my weekend is now in the past. And also is Galway. Galway was a beautiful city (for me town), great pubs and everything. The weather though was not too good.
Friday Night,
At 6pm I went by train to Cork, and met Milena at Pennys. We both had stuff to buy. I needed schampoo. After that we bought food and fruit for our journey for the weekend. Back at Milenas house we saw The Break-up, a typical romcom.. Kind of. Well it was good and I really enjoyed it.
The morning after we prepared our lunches and food to bring. And then headed of to the bus station were we met Cristina and Belinda. I was so excited and tired in the same time. Belinda also told me about a concert with Ed Sheerand in Dublin on the Bank Holiday Monday.. and yeah. I really wanted to go, but it was too late for me to go and to work the day after again.
We arrived to Galway round 12, I think and walked around trying to find our hostel. And there it was, finally! Haha. Not very clean and not very good. With no real reciption and a with a hole in our room wall. Well, well.
We had planned our weekend on the bus;
Day1. Do the Cliffs of Moher tour. (Just hoping the weather was getting better - was miserable). Go to sleep early.
Day2. Connemara tour and go out when back in Galway.
Day3. Sleep. Sleep. And relax. And then go back home to Cork.
So we called the tour guide, who picked us up at the hostel, and went to the Cliffs of Moher. And lucky we were, 10 mins before arrival it stoped raining and the weather turned out to be almost too good. I was starting to get sweaty almost.

We did a quick stop in Lisdoonvarna, where the matchmaking festival is every year. (Picture on top)

Cristina and I fell asleep on the way home - that sooner became a habit for the whole Galway trip.

Day 2. We are now on the Connemara Tour and the castle on the picture is Kylemore Abbey & Garden.
It was surely beautiful, but the weather was so miserable the whole day, with plenty of showers so we did not appreciate it as much as we would if the weather was nice. The tour guide even said "Here on your left-hand side you can see... you usually can see a beautiful mountain", but it was so foggy we could not see it.

Back home again we met some german boys at the hostel who joined us later on when it was time to go out and find some nice pubs and clubs.

Day 3.
Woke up around 11- 12 and we went out for a full Irish. Traditional breakfast with beans, toast, black and red pudding, sausage, crambled eggs, bacon etc. Yum!
And suddelnly it was time to head back to Cork and for me and Cristina the three hour bus back meant three more hours to sleep!

Here is a song you must know if you are coming to Ireland. The Galway Girl.
